There are somethings you just can’t skimp on and rebranding is one of them! Save for it!
1st thing to do is hire a GOOD graphic designer that gets what you do and will create an amazing logo for you! I opted to throw my old logo out and start fresh instead of doing a refresh. My old logo just wasn’t what White Lion Social had evolved into.
I had the advantage of using a graphic designer that already knew me and understood my business. His name is James Hersick and he is a cofounder of Native Design and Brand Communications. It was extremely important that my logo reflect where I wanted to go. The best word I could use to describe that was “playful”. My old logo was industrial and strong but now I wanted to be playful and crazy! My new logo reflects me but it wasn’t just one and done. James gave me several logos and I had to choose. The other 4 logos were very social and what you expected of a social media company. I had to step out there and take a chance with the out of the box logo. It scared me! I wondered if others would realize the line art was a lion or would think I was a social media company or would they be confused. It was a big leap but once I made it the rest was easy!
2nd thing was a photo shoot for the new website. I had completely changed my hair from purple/red to blonde and from long to short. It was time for new pictures. I choose someone that isn’t know for her commercial work but I saw something in her that I wanted. I choose Amy Masser of Babyface Photo. She met my ideas with more ideas. I am going to write a separate post about how this photo shoot went down.
3rd was a new website which you are looking at right now!
It was very hard and time consuming but sooooo worth it!
